My Approach

Coaching initially sparked my curiosity about movement, helped me connect with people, and explore various movement approaches. Over time, I saw the potential in our sessions and became interested in the mind-body connection in movement. This has evolved into a unique practice that I'm constantly growing and developing.

Over the years, I've coached various types of movement including Pilates, strength training, bootcamps, kettlebell technique, and barbell strength classes.

​

I sought guidance from knowledgeable organizations to improve my ability to support clients comprehensively and expand my skills. I've learned from organizations like Health At Every Size (HAES), Center for Trauma and Embodiment (TIWL), Decolonizing Pilates with Sonja Price Herbert, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release MSTR®, and The Neuro Studio. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the brain-body connection. I'm constantly learning and exploring new areas of health and movement to better serve my clients.

To me, coaching is about understanding, motivating, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. I use a range of techniques to create personalized sessions that align with each person's goals, abilities, and aspirations.

Becca is a fantastic trainer.  I've worked with her at a gym, on ZOOM, and in my backyard, and she has been consistently great at coaching me to move my body and work towards personal goals.  She knows my body and adjusts our workouts to my needs and can even pivot in the moment to change a movement so that it works better for me.  She is consistently positive and upbeat and I always know I am going to end our time together feeling better than when we started.

Becca approaches her one-on-one client experiences with incredible attention to detail that meets your body and your movement abilities where you're at. Not only that, but Becca has an incredible depth of physical knowledge -- not only can she incorporate my physical therapy exercises into every workout, but she goes above and beyond to also expand and change those exercises to keep my body moving better and better. Becca genuinely cares about her clients, and it shows in every workout!

10/10 would recommend Becca. As a fat person living in a world with so much fat phobia, work out spaces can be very intimidating for me. But working with Becca has been a breath of fresh air! There has been no shaming or judgment in her studio. I have experienced nothing but total support of myself and my goals of building strength and mobility. I recently had a shoulder injury flair up and she has been so helpful planning workouts that support my shoulder and helping me learn how to tend to it well. I had to move to online workout recently and was worried about the experience not being as fluid or accessible. But Becca has made the transition go so smoothly and in able to provide the same level of support and training even over zoom. Overall it has been delightful and rewarding working with her for one on one coaching, and I look forward to it every week.

Becca is an amazing, empathetic and caring trainer. I have been working with her off and on for 7+ years and always leave a session feeling better than when I started. She listens and tailors every session to what I need at that time, while also pushing me to work hard in each session and showing me that I can often do more than I think or things that I didn't think I could do. I really appreciate her attention to form and small details and not just powering through exercises.  I have followed her through her journey as a bootcamp instructor to personal trainer and pilates instructor at a gym and now to owning her own business!  I am so excited for her and happy that I get to continue to work with her in my own fitness journey!

Rebecca creates a very welcoming and safe space where I can be myself (such as hating exercise) with understanding and sense of humor. She really listens to what you are needing and customizes every single workout to where you are at that moment. No matter how many aches and pains I come in with, I always feel better when I am done working out with her. It is like she is part of my self-care team. I actually look forward to exercising with her.
